Calm, relationship-led premium pet care across Maidenhead and the surrounding area, because your pet deserves more than someone simply ticking a box. Thistle and Tails provides thoughtful, personalised care for dogs, cats and small animals, with a particular passion for cat care and solo dog walks.
I’m especially drawn to the nervous, sensitive and slightly-more-complicated pets - the ones who need someone to slow down, listen to what they're telling us and build trust at their pace. And I know that when your pet is anxious, leaving them with someone else can be just as difficult for you as it is for them.
Dog walks are currently offered as solo 1:2:1 walks or same-household walks only. No group walks. No handfuls of dogs being bundled together. Just your dog getting my full attention, with walks shaped around their needs, personality and confidence. Every client starts with a meet and greet, because I want to get to know you, your pet and their routine properly - and, just as importantly, make sure we're the right fit for each other before anything is booked. From there, you can expect calm, consistent and genuinely thoughtful care.
I take the time to notice the little things, build relationships and understand your pet as an individual rather than simply turning up, doing the job and leaving. Because they're not just a pet. They're family. And if you're the kind of owner who worries about whether your pet is okay while you're away, my aim is simple: to give you the peace of mind that comes from knowing they're genuinely cared for.
