Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy is the use of water to help with healing or quality of life, and it can be used for both humans and animals. For dogs, hydrotherapy usually takes the form of either an underwater treadmill or a warm water pool, under the guidance of a trained professional.

Canine hydrotherapy utilises a non-weight bearing form of exercise which is low impact on joints and offers a wealth of positive health benefits, including greater range of movement.

We only accept qualified hydrotherapists on the directory. A qualified hydrotherapist has undergone the required training to carry our this service and is able to closely monitor your pet and has a hydrotherapy regime tailored to meet their needs safely. In accordance with CHA quality standards and UK legislation any hydrotherapy session requires a signed vet referral.

While hydrotherapy might not be a cure-all, it can certainly help our canine companions in a number of positive ways.
