About Us

I started Shropshire Canine ™️ upon leaving my role working for a rescue centre. I spent years working hands-on with stray dogs, it was my absolute passion and taught me so much. I never thought I would leave but the day came, and I volunteered at Cuan Wildlife rescue whilst I built the business. It became apparent there were so many dog walkers already but I knew I had more to offer, I wanted to truly enrich the lives of every dog I met.

I was very lucky to already know so many dogs that would benefit from our services and soon became unexpectedly busy. 
Our service “Doggy day trips for dogs in rescue kennels” was hugely popular from the get-go, the rescue supporters already knew me and the rescues themselves knew they could trust me and that I was able to handle the more difficult dogs. It all fell into place: I was still able to help the dogs I never wanted to leave behind. To my delight other rescue centres saw these trips and how successful they were and I was able to offer our services to them, too. 

We are a small team of passionate, caring and trustworthy dog lovers. We all have hands - on experience working in rescue.
We offer the usual services such as; walks 30 min + around the local area. pet sitting and pop-ins.

Our unique services include the Doggy Day Trips: We are the home of the Original Doggy Day Trip!This service has been popular and needs to be booked in advance. These trips are designed with the individual dog in mind, taking into account; fitness, drives and temperament. Filled with enrichment activities and games, our aim is to let the dog play out his natural desires in a safe and beautiful location, leaving the dog feeling fulfilled and tired out. I take plenty of photo's too. 

Doggy Day ExcursionThis is an extended version of our Doggy Day Trips. (6h but can be adjusted to suit needs) Excursions have involved beach days and longer hikes. As with all our services, they are designed with the individual dog in mind, and will include plenty of mental enrichment for the less active.

Doggy Day Trips - For Rescue DogsThis service is highly popular and is arranged on a waiting list system. Our Doggy Day Trips can be purchased and gifted to a dog of choice which is currently in local rescue kennels.  We now offer this to a number of local rescues.Every dog gets a profile & write-up on their day and plenty of photo's, aiming to show the public their true nature instead of seeing them behind bars, hopefully attracting a potential forever home.Most of these trips are bought by the public simply to treat the dog of their choice, whether they have behavioural issues and don't get to go for walks much, or if they are a long-termer, to improve their lives if they are unlikely to find a home any time soon.

We are fully insured for every aspect of our business including exempted dogs (such as registered Pitbulls.)We have over 100 5* reviews on social media and over 350 5* reviews on Dog Friendly which we are super proud of. Dbs checked, qualified, OFQUAL qualified in canine first aid.
