About us
Hi I'm Caroline at Help at Hand Dog Behaviour and Education, I'm a fully qualified Shropshire based dog behaviourist and trainer, offering classes and individual one to one sessions tailored for you and your dog. Whether puppy, adolescent, rescue or deaf dogs. Using only force free techniques based on the most up to date methods. This ensures I can work to resolve the concerns and experiences of both dog and owner in a fully supportive and effective manner to create the partnership you wish to have.
When problems occur it is common to feel frustrated and not know what to do for the best, so being heard by your behaviourist is important. This could be anxiety, socialising problems, settling in, deaf dogs and not knowing how to work with them, settling in rescue dogs, reactivity etc.
I also work in and with a large number of rescue organisations in the UK to assess dogs, work with them, put plans in place for rehabilitation and help them get homes. As well as with vets to provide the right support and understanding of problems.
1-2-1 consultations in your own home are available, as well as online courses and sessions for those further away. Working with vets to provide a full service for their clients is also something I'm well known for. Giving talks, demonstrations, behavioural advice all ensures the dogs and their owners have the calmest experience possible. I also give talks to groups and schools.
Whilst working with all dogs and problems, I am predominantly known for my work with rescue, deaf and complex cases.
Working alongside owners, rescues and vets to ensure the dogs get the best help and support they need, to achieve a calm dog who can cope. I believe that there is no such thing as a difficult dog, but there are definitely misunderstood dogs. I also run Deaf not Difficult which is specifically aimed at helping professionals and owners work with and understand deaf dogs.
