GHS Direct originally formed in 1985, and this year 2025 marks a very special year for us, as we celebrate 40 wonderful years in business.  We are a small independent family run business.  We are highly trusted and reliable when it comes to supplying our pet friendly disinfectant-cleaners and hygiene products. 

 

Along the way we have won many prestigious Manufacturing Awards, Pet Products Supply & Services Awards, Business of the Year Awards, SME of the Year Awards.

We trade with all animal care, leisure, professional industries and domestic market sectors.  Any buying customer can have an account with us.   Some can even have a 30 day credit account (subject to checks).  No bulk buying required.  We sell by the bottle, no minimum required on our 500ml, 2.5ml and 5ltr bottled products.  25ltr drums and tanks are also available over the phone only.
 

GHS specialises in the manufacture and supply of a comprehensive range of pet friendly hygiene products, along with other Industrial cleaning products.  Our disinfectants, sanitisers, detergents, degreasers and odour control products are concentrate products for you to store (long shelf-life) and dilute for use when ready.  Saving on supply, transportation costs and emissions.  We also make and supply biodegradable disinfectant wipes that comprise of our DEFRA General Orders Approved Disinfectant liquid.  We have a few top seller, loved and trusted Animal Shampoos too.  These can be used on all Animals big or small – cats, dogs, horses, guinea pigs, rabbits etc – our range are gentle yet effective.  They combine plant and bio based ingredients amongst others.  Ideal for sensitive skin.

 

GHS has steadily grown over the years.  We have overcome an epidemic, and we still strive to produce and supply tested, effective anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal solutions.  Our disinfectants and sanitisers are ideal for daily use, deep cleans and quarantine areas.  Use them on many inanimate surfaces, equipment, accessories, toys, tools, etc.  They are made specific for safe use in and around animal and vet care sectors.

 

GHS prides itself on its ability to supply quality products at quick turnaround times.  We supply to differing sized businesses; whether you're a small pet services business, a vets or a Doggy Day Care Centre / Boarding Kennels.  As a company committed to promoting the hygiene and welfare of all animals, our products are formulated to prevent disease and sickness, control infection and stop cross-contamination. The majority of our products are supplied in a concentrate form allowing for dilution according to requirements, passing on valuable savings and reduced deliveries to customers.

 

GHS products conform to COSHH regulations, and where necessary, products are individually tested to verify efficacy as stated. Our liquid products are made to the highest standards and the ingredients used carry a suppliers' guarantee of the non-use of animal testing.

 

Vira-Care Broad Spectrum Disinfectant-Cleaner is DEFRA General Orders Approved (see the public listing on DEFRA's website).  It is also Parvo /  Parvovirus Tested and Certified effective in just 10 minutes contact time.  Vira-Care is also Kennel Cough Tested, plus many more independent tests for virus and bacteria efficacy.
