I have over 50 years of hands-on experience in canine behaviour and training with all types of breeds. I am dedicated to using up-to-date, positive reward-based methods that move beyond the outdated dominance theories that have all been completely disproved, even though many unfortunately still believe with the old Alpha Male and dominance theory.

My holistic approach focuses on understanding each dog as an individual and empowering guardians to build lasting, positive relationships with their companions. Looking every time for the dog to make choice over the behaviour and results we both seek.

I regularly update my skills through ongoing professional development, ensuring the best support for you and your dog and have over the years re-qualified with the modern methods engaged when applying positive reward based training. My ongoing training is reflected in my membership with the International Institute of Canine Ethics.

My previous experience along with further training assists me to deliver and train the Guardian (note not Owner) as nobody owns a sentient being any more than anyone owning you. I do not train the dog, but I help the Guardian to have the help and assistance to train the dog.

Initial consultations are offered in your home at a time and date convenient to my client and I am happy to review video footage to tailor advice to your needs.
