Looking for a dog walker can be a mine field and confusing for the dogs owner, there are many dog walking businesses around, who should you choose?  The dog walking industry is unregulated and anyone can just set up as a dog walker. The majority of people setting up dog walking business hold insurance to carry out this service, whilst you have some that don't. Whilst its not mandatory for a dog walker to hold insurance, it is essential that anyone walking your dog for payment is insured. Insurance is essential to protect yourself, your dog and the walker should something happen whilst your dog is in their care.

All dog walking businesses registered on the directory hold full insurance, proof of insurance is required before any business can be added.

Some of the dog walkers will also hold qualifications such as Pet First and some will also be DBS Checked. Before they can have these listed on their listing on the website, proof is shown of such documents. 

Some dog walkers offer solo walks  whilst others also offer group walks. Before deciding on a dog walker you need to decide if you want your dog walking on its own or in a group, depending on both your and your dogs requirements.
